During the 2015 Paris attacks:

In 2015, the AP-HP was in the front line for organising care and support for the victims of the Paris attacks. The feedback which it generated following these dramatic events has been shared with several countries - Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Scotland (UK), Israel and the United States - at medical management delegations.

Exercises involving the management of large numbers of victims are regularly organised by SAMU 75 and with SAMU 93. It should be noted that, in May 2017, a large delegation from the city of Shanghai, charged with emergency planning for part of China, took part in an exercise in applying the teaching of disaster medicine at the University of Paris Descartes.

Exchange of information is critical in this type of crisis. For the follow-up of victims hospitalised following an exceptional health situation, the hospital sites make use of a national computer tool called SI-VIC which makes it possible to list all the victims admitted to hospital, whether in an emergency admissions unit or in a specialist service.
